Homemade Salted Caramel

Simply scrumptious! Sure store bought brands are good but homemade caramel 💃 is so much better : )

Have you made caramel before? I felt intimidated the first time making caramel. This is an easy recipe that doesn’t require a thermometer : ) A few helpful tips: use a long wooden spoon or heat resistant spatula to stir – the sugar forms into rock salt-like clumps, as you continue stirring it becomes a thicker amber color liquid – slowly & carefully add the butter & cream, it quickly bubbles up.

Once September comes around, I’m ready for everything Fall! Salted caramel pairs beautifully with pies, ice cream, cheesecake, apples & more : ) I hope you enjoyed the long holiday weekend. Have an awesome day & stay safe 🧡😃🍂
